Environmental justice is one of the most urgent challenges that we face today.

Legislative bill AB 345 (which was followed by SB 467) would have protected over five million Californians who live within a mile of an active oil well that exposes them to cancer-producing chemicals, asthma attack-inducing emissions, and possible explosions.

In April 2021, Senate Bill 467 failed by one vote to move out of the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee.  This is not over!  We shall return!
